Chinmaya Dunster — одно из моих музыкальных открытий года. Под впечатлением от альбома «Yoga – On Sacred Ground» скачал eMule-ом еще три альбома этого музыканта, и ... да! В точку! В тему! В самую сердцевину! :)).

Начинаю с «Karma Circles», продолжение последует.

Expert East/West fusion musician Chinmaya Dunster returns with beautiful musical and spiritual soundscapes of Celtic meets East Indian sound. In the spirit of the internationally acclaimed CD Celtic Ragas, Chinmaya and the Celtic Ragas Band come together again to present this inspired and celebratory follow-up.

Karma Circles embodies a unique musical synthesis of East and West. Born in Britain, Chinmaya has spent most of his adult life in India. His Celtic Ragas Band is from Gujarat, Scotland, Germany, Morocco, Manipur….

Celtic and Indian motifs circle and dance, and an ancient landscape comes alive through 21st century sounds. Sarod, tablas and bamboo flute fuse with electronics, bass, and drums.

In India a profound musical moment will be greeted by spontaneous outbursts of ‘Wah!’ from the listeners. Wah! is wow, deep appreciation, being touched inside by music. This CD is my ‘Wah!’ to the wonderful musicians who play on it. I touch my earlobe to them. (In India when a great musician’s name is mentioned, other musicians will touch their earlobes as a gesture of respect.) Without them my music and my heart would be so much less.
